There are many reasons you may want to get in touch with me at Left Over Chef. Lots of people come to me for help and advice in the kitchen and they do so by speaking to me with their questions and inquiries.
Some people come to me for recipe or cooking trouble that they just can’t seem to find the answer for or they’ve discovered a cooking hack that works perfectly and they want me to know about it. I have plenty of chefs at my disposable from years of building up a network of friends and colleagues that are supremely talented in what they do so I have plenty of resources at my disposal and I use them to help with any questions I can’t answer.
I’ve build this network through years of cheffing in various restaurants and communicating with people in my field to build trust and relationships through mutual need and respect. I want to further this network of cooking talent and food enthusiasts by inviting everyone who visits my blog to speak to me and start our relationship.

Guest Post opportunities
I know that the reason you come to my blog time and time again is for the great content that is published all the time. I take great pride in the quality of every single post that I put out. I put a lot of time and effort into making sure the blog posts that go live are well-researched, interesting for my readers and written to the highest quality.
Truly good content is hard to come by and there is a lot of rubbish on the internet, that’s why I want to make sure that everything that gets published gets scrutinised by me, including work I do myself. I’m probably harsher on my own posts than anyone else’s as I am my own biggest critic.
I spend a lot of time working on my blog, but it’s no secret that I’m a busy man with my fingers in many pies. As well as my restaurant where I am executive chef and owner, developing menus and hiring staff etc, I’m also constantly working on new cookbooks to bring out to make me a bit of money on the side (and of course to take a stab at becoming a rich and famous chef!). I rely on guest bloggers to broaden the scope of my content and to create various topics for people who visit to read and enjoy.
That’s where you guys come in. I see you there, reading my blogs and wondering where the one is on the topic that you really really need to read. Maybe you could be the one to write it! Guest blogging can benefit both parties, I gain valuable content that my readers love and the contributor can raise their profile. Everyone wins!
Content I'm Looking For
As you’ve probably seen by now, this is a food and cooking blog! I write about tools in the kitchen, recipes, what to eat, where to eat and pretty much anything and everything to do with food. Interpret that as you will and get creative when you’re thinking of topics for content to submit, I’m looking for original work that really makes me want to read it. You have to have a flair for imaginative writing to be able to write something really great for me. These are some general topics which frequently appear on my blog, but don’t let these inhibit you, I’m looking for true creativity that can create a post that will generate traffic, clicks and engagement for my blog.

Treat these as a starting point to inspire you if you really want to submit a guest post but don’t really know where to begin. After that, make sure your title is interesting and engaging. Examples of titles submitted in the past include:

Technical Specifications
Don’t get too hung up on the technical specifications. I find that having too many rules and regulations only inhibits people’s creativity so I don’t lay down too many of them. I’m pretty chill about what I accept, as long as the quality is there and the passion is obvious. With that being said, there are a few things that I do need the article you submit to include.
- 500 words or more – I want all my pages to be indexed by Google for SEO purposes and research has shown that the longer the piece of writing on a page, the more likely it is to tank in search engines and help my page appear sooner.
- A catchy title – no one is going to click on a blog post if the title looks boring, don’t make it too clickbait-ey, but make it intrigue visitors so they want to read the full piece.
- MUST be unique – I don’t accept copied content or content that has been posted somewhere else too, I will be checking, so don’t try it!
That’s all for the technical specifications like I said, I don’t want to control your creativity too much!
